With spring around the corner (let’s hope!) I thought it would be fun to share a collection of super EASY crafts you can do with your kids.
Craft time can seem overwhelming at home – there’s definitely a different feeling I get when bringing out craft supplies at school compared to my kitchen table. I’m not exactly sure why it feels so much more daunting at home, but maybe it’s the mess I’m anticipating, or having to find all of the supplies, or trying to come up with an idea that I don’t have to go to the store for. Whatever the reason, it almost seems easier to skip craft time and do something else instead!
So, I’ve put together a list of crafts for you to try this spring that won’t take much time, and you may already have the supplies sitting around the house! Here they are:
Coffee filter butterflies from Honey and Lime.
Paper plate rainbow from Inner Child Fun.
Paper plate flowers from The Resourceful Mama.
Tissue paper paper plates from Crafty Morning.
Fruit loop flowers from Crafty Morning.
Rain Sticks from Happy Hooligans.
Easter eggs from Preschool Activities.
Painted flower pots from Mom Always Finds Out.
Toilet paper roll bird feeder from Honey and Lime.
Pom pom caterpillars from Indulgy.
I tried to pick activities that used some of the same supplies and are easy to whip up. The easier the craft, the more likely you will be to try it out, and kids like easy! It’s a win-win. Here is a list of supplies you can grab to start with and keep together in a bin. With these supplies you will be able to make most of the crafts I have on this page.
- paint – This is my favourite paint. It wipes off tables (and anything else) easily.
- markers – to me, Crayola is the only brand to go with for kids
- pom poms
- tissue paper
- pipe cleaners
- coffee filters
- googly eyes
I hope you have fun creating! Happy Spring!!
