Welcome to my blog!  I hope it inspires you to have fun with your family and take time to enjoy the little things in life.  And maybe you’ll find a few family-friendly recipes your kids will love and fun crafts to try together!

A little about me: My name is Michelle and I’m a mom to my wonderful 6 year-old son and my beautiful 4 year-old daughter, and the wife of a pretty amazing guy!  I live in a small town in Ontario, Canada and have a pretty “ordinary” life which I love!

My family is the most important thing to me and I’m always looking for fun ways to make the most of our time together.  After working all day, and with the kids in school, we don’t have a lot of time to be together during the week (and my kids still have early bedtimes).  I’m sure you can relate to that! It’s important to make sure that the time we do have together is quality time we appreciate.  I hope I can share some great ways for you to find that quality time with your family while living your extraordinary life.

Aside from my mom duties, I’m also a full time teacher.  I’ve been teaching for 12 years, mostly in Kindergarten.  I certainly get my fill of 4 and 5 year olds in a day but it’s such a fun age and they really do think you’re the best thing on earth so who wouldn’t love that?!

In my spare time I love to bake, craft, paint, play piano and violin, plan parties, search Pinterest, read, and of course hang out with my family and friends.  I guess you could say I’m a bit of a modern “Suzy Homemaker” and I love it!

I try to be optimistic about everything and look on the bright side of life.  Since having kids, I have realized just how fast life passes us by and it’s so important to stop and appreciate all that we have and to make the most of our time together.  Even the most ordinary lives are extraordinary- it’s about making and finding those extraordinary moments in our everyday lives.

I hope you follow along my journey and we can share our stories together!
