If you have read my post about playdough, you already know what a fan I am of it and all the benefits that go along with playing with playdough.
I thought it would be fun at Easter to add a few extra loose parts so my kids could create their own Easter eggs. I had a lot of these things kicking around my craft room and you could use different materials as well. I used jewels, buttons and small pieces of rick rack cut up. You could try beads, pompoms, (you get the idea 😉 ). Go look around – you may be surprised what you can find around your house to add to your playdough.
My son was all over this idea. My daughter, not so much, but she did try a couple of eggs. Then she decided she would rather just have jewels all over her playdough. That’s the joy of playdough – it can be anything you want it to be 😉
Here are a few finished products. They actually turned out really cute!
So go ahead and raid your craft buckets, junk drawers or take a trip to your dollar store to see what kind of treasures you can find to add to your playdough!
I’d love to hear your ideas!
